The planar distribution of the Minutiae and the Template Code

From the extracted minutiae points Agora generates a template code.

The minutiae points extracted in the Analysis phase are the foundation to match fingerprints.  A template represents a planar distribution of the minutiae.  It may stored in a database or on a portable media such as a smartcard, or 2D barcode.  In the database the template is normally stored in the same record with other templates of other fingers and with demographic and photo information of the person being enrolled.  To determine if a person is who he claims to be,  you can compare the template generated from a live captured finger against the corresponding template stored in the database or portable media.
